day trading, in my opinion, requires a substantial amount of capital. one study showed that although day traders made their trades at small cost, they were actually losing money. for example, if the trade cost $10, day traders lost the other $20. of course, day traders are trading tiny amounts so the spread may only be $10.
when you consider that day traders are trading tiny amounts, it should be obvious that their trades will be highly correlated with the overall market. do you think you would be able to consistently make money by trading the market? for example, if the market remains strong, day traders can exit their positions and make money. however, if the market weakens, they must go back in. the price moved down on them. it is a short term movement, but it is a movement. you need to be in a position to exit before the price drops.

the first breakout that will be seen will be on the long side of the market. if the breakout is from the long side, then we are going to see a new short term trend. when the majority of the traders are short, we will have a short term trend.
day trading can work for some, but i recommend you try to avoid it, because it is a high risk investment and it is not a typical role for most people. so dont say that you are day trader on the first blog article you ever posted on your website.

some day traders buy when the market is down, and sell when it is up. however, i suggest buying when the market is down and selling when it is up. why? day trading is about timing. buying when the market is down and selling when the market is up is very impulsive, and not good timing. make sure that you follow our trading rules, make sure that the order is going to fill, and your good to go.
