there is no doubt that native instruments traktor pro is the first and only professional traktor dj software out there. the most recent update to traktor pro v1.2.4 brings a lot of new features and useful upgrades.

following the recent announcement of traktor, native instruments has released a developer preview of a new mixing platform called traktor lite. the project aims to get traktor into the hands of djs everywhere.

the kontrol x1is a really innovative product. i had a hardware controller before and had problems with the low number of buttons, the noise from the hardware, and the trouble of having to touch my computer with a mouse. the kontrol x1is a clean, beautifully designed device that makes me want to use it every day (which i do). it has taken a lot of space at my desk, but it is totally worth it.
